Cats

20Dec10

Talking about cats, just saw this awesome clip on YouTube. Apparently its the first ever movie filmed by a cat

It’s not that I’m a big cat fan at all, but imagine the possibilities.. Have you never wondered what a cat does on a day, especially when its outside, now we can find out!
Like it. R.

Soooooo, where do I start..

It’s been a while, there’s a blizzard in Tottenham, yesterday was the end of a fantastic 7 weeks on placement at Inferno, we sang live on the internet with the Auntie Carols.
There is a lot of stuff we can tell you about, and we will, in the next few days. For now, have a look at this:

Could you please be so generous to pay a years rent for me, maybe put in an oyster card with enough money to last the next 5 years. Also, could you please pay the outstanding student loan I build up over the last 3 years, my phone bill and a new pair of Vans.

Yours Sincerely, Ruud Kool.

Sooo…..

If you’ve got half an hour, check out Kanye Wests’ beautiful short film called Runaway. Definitely worth your time.. Who said hip hop has to be tough?
Written by Hype Williams, shot in Prague.

Enjoy!

We took a trip to the new apple store at Covent Garden to kill some time, and after having to wait to get a seat – it was a case of spotting a seat and running towards it before someone else jumped in! All we could think of doing was drawing. It was probably easier to just get my notebook out, than to try and work out all the different pen tools.

This bad boy was an immense Owlapus that was drawn onto the glass windows of The CAMP where Unite II was held, it’s been on my phone a while and forgot to upload it. Very impressive that someone had actually drawn it, along with several other crazy looking animals on the windows. I believe the noise it would make would be something along the lines of . . . “Twit twoololololololololololol” (the last bit was the sound of bubbles btw). B.

Unite II

Well well well… Look who appeared on the latest YCC video at Unite 2!

I’ve been reading this book over the last two weeks, and it is amazing. After reading just the first paragraph, I realised that my own writing had become lazy. It began when I got my first phone (a Nokia 3310, standard) and I mastered the art of texting and the ability to shorten every word to within an inch of its life so it would fit in to the 160 character limit. It was a language that needed a special text dictionary to understand or any 16 year old.

The book has helped me to really analyse punctuation – in a good way! So much so, that on Monday night a poster had been placed at the bottom of the stairwell, and I couldn’t help but notice the bad gramma and punctuation. Upon closer inspection I was delighted to see that someone else felt offended by it and had corrected all their mistakes. It made me smile, and I couldn’t help but take a picture.

This book is a definite must read – and I can’t recommend it enough. Get down your local Library and get reading!

I’ll leave you with my favourite quote from the book. B.

“Punctuation is the stitching that holds the fabric of language in shape”

Pogo 2

17Oct10

Back in the days (read; the 3rd post on this blog) Brooke posted a Youtube clip on here of an entire track made up of clips from the film UP by DJ Pogo. Even though the technique and the idea is really quite funny, it absolutely drove me crazy, as Brooke was listening to it on non stop, and even put it as her ringtone… I think, without realising, a couple of months later I did exactly the same to her, by watching 4 seasons of Dexter in about 3 weeks, and telling her all about it.. She must actually hate the show by now, and hopefully this will make it even worse: DJ Pogo does Dexter!

JEEEJ!

Enjoy! (or not)
